Mr. Hunninghake is the new assistant band director at Kamiak High School. Before joining the staff at Kamiak he was an assistant band director in Bellevue Nebraska, where he taught band at Lewis and Clark Middle School as well as the top jazz band and marching band at Bellevue West High School. Mr Hunninghake’s ensembles have found success at many concert festivals, jazz festivals, Winter Guard International, and Bands of America events. Currently he serves on the staff of the Arizona Academy drum and bugle corps as a brass specialist. Mr. Hunninghake received his degree in music education from the University of Kansas, and his masters degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. An accomplished trumpet player, Mr. Hunninghake has performed internationally as a member of numerous ensembles, and has performed as a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Peoria Symphony, and the Northshore Concert band.
